2020 | Liminal Spaces: Migration & Women of the Guyanese Diaspora | Women & Gender Studies, Univ of Toronto

The city of Toronto possesses one of the largest and oldest Guyanese diasporas outside of Guyana. Women and Gender Studies, Caribbean Studies (University of Toronto) and the Centre for Research on Latin America and the Caribbean (York University) present a conversation exploring the Guyanese-Canadian narratives of migration and the role of art in telling women’s migration stories featured in the new book, 'Liminal Spaces: Migration and Women of the Guyanese Diaspora.' The conversation will include Grace Aneiza Ali, Sandra Brewster, Erika DeFreitas, Suchitra Mattai, Natalie Hopkinson and Serena Hopkinson.
